I doubt it needs the wiring harness. It's probably throwing the code for it because of the gauge cluster but I'm guessing without looking in the hull in person or his BUDS. The knock sensor code might be old plugs and bad gas. The pipe and water leak surely any of us could tackle for a heck of a lot less than this dealer. Or, just sell the seats, pump, driveshaft, trailer, and other misc parts on eBay or Craigslist. Up here in Birmingham the trailer will bring $350-400 and if the pump is okay, there's another $200. He sounds pretty fed up with it so the price might be easily dropped another $100.
I need the pump so the more I talk about it the more it makes sense. But he won't have a clue if it's any good. If it's still there Monday, I may take a drive.
