Just got off the phone with my mechanic and hes getting everything checked over and cleaned up for me. New battery, fuel lines, wear ring, draining fuel tank cleaning etc. Told me he was going to get that done and go out and lake test it for me, and said he wouldnt know if I needed carb work untill afterwards. Said if I did it was going to run me about $175.00. Does this seem like a fair price? Thanks for the input.

If that's the price with parts, and they are still on the ski... then yes.

I charge 1hr if they are off, and 2hr's if they are on the ski. ($65/hr) Plus parts.

Yes sir, still on there. He said mabey mabey not, ski hasn't run much in its life so I'm not sure. He said it appears to have very low hours on it compression was 150 on both cylinders so lookin good so far.

Spend the money or do it yourself.
Don't do everything your doing and have the carb be reason engine ran lean on test run.
They are going to need a cleaning any ways if it sat for a while.

Its not that hard to do or get to them.

I wouldnt spend the time cleaning carbs w/o rebuilding them using OEM needles and seats, and carb kits...which are about $70 per carb.

I charge 4.5hr to do the entire job...hr per carb and 2.5 for deinstall reinstall. You also will want to change the fuel lines if they are still grey tempos.
