Bogging

My 97xp has new fuel lines and is in almost perfect condition. Except when I put it in the water and try to give it full throttle it almost dies. I can slowly accelerate about 50% of the time and once it's above 10mph it rides perfectly. Everybody tells me to rebuild the carbs but is there any other cause to the bogging, or is it time for a rebuild?

Yep, probably the carbs., when you replaced the fuel lines did you also replace the fuel control valve?

Yeah, replacing the fuel lines and not going through the carbs wont do you much good. All the goop and crap that came out of the old fuel lines is now in your carbs and carb filters. You can't just replace the fuel lines.

Personally I have not had success cleaning them. I would replace it if it were mine. For the one your ski takes use the WSM aluminum one. hfgreg here on the forum will hook you up/
