battery and trim 96 SPX

I just got a 96 seadoo spx. Battery wasn't any good so I put in my motorcycle battery. Is this o.k., or are seadoo batteries special with all the bouncing around they get? Also My trim doesn't work. Whats the best position to set it in for one posion riding? thanks

that battery will work. Make sure, bungee strap is installed, As for VTS position, keep it "nuetral"
