Well boyz.... I talked to the guy with the Islandia, and he couldn't find the trailer registration card. He thinks its at his other building. (He's a rental shop) but if he can't find it, he's getting the paperwork needed to do the transfer. They don't have titles in MI on the trailers. So... because of that... I don't want to start heading out there, and find out he couldn't get the paperwork done. So... I'll be heading out on Wed.

Well... Snipe asked a long time ago, but I declined since I didn't know if I could commit the time needed. But, with the issues of the night... I figured I would ask if they still wanted me since I was the site policeman anyway. The old "Local Guide" badge gave me a huge PM box, and some limited access, but as a full mod, I can take care of problems as they arise.
Yes, has been a couple testy threads going tonight. Too bad both the Penguins and Wings lost in the first round. Not much worth watching now.

ok fellers, things got a bit outta hand earlier, i say we give JJ a chance here. Besides it's more fun to pick on SDB
JJ, I don't want to stir up another bees nest but since I don't have my skis here to look at the contour of the fiberglass where those transom hooks attach, are they gripping to the fiberglass or to the rubber rub rail. I'm just picturing them putting outward pressure on the rub rail and eventually pulling it off? This aint criticism, just trying to understand how they work. Are they brand new or do you have 100 hours of experience using them with no issues?
Lou, you is gettin a little short tempered, must be time to schedule a nekid night. I think JJ was attempting to show some respect to his learned elders with the term elder statesmen (it was our term).

It is totally on the fiberglass. The fiberglass under the rub rail is obviously the thickest and most able to take a beating next to the keel. I can't speak for the guy that designed and is selling them but I'd be willing to bet if you bought and weren't happy he would refund you upon return. These aren't rocket science. These hooks fill a need for people that want to attach something and not have it slip and slide like "S" hooks will almost always do because they don't conform to the lip of the area. That's all.
I have a FX SHO and lug a 12 gallon external fuel tank with these. If it were not for the hooks it wouldn't be possible without about 20 straps, bungee cords or whatever. Not in the conditions I ride.

hey, hey, is this the new thread, ask jake lou and criss and jj ??? i gots to ask, how do you bait a transom hook, and what kinda fish you gonna ketch with it ??? doesnt look real sharp, maybe a blow fish ???
