Just got my boat out of storage for the winter it ran perfect when i winterized it, put in a new battery and now no power to starters, engines no gauges, no flashing of oil light when i put the key in...

I checked all fuses, i jumped the solenoid and can turn motors over what else should I check?

I did order a new DESS Post to see if that helps.. Everything else powers up i.e. (blowers, lights, radio horn)

DESS post sounds like a good place the start to check since that wakes up the system. If you have power to all the other stuff I would say your MPEM is good since all of that runs through the MPEM also unless you jumped the battery.

Ok good, no everything works as it should off the battery other than its like its in sleep mode and like you said wont wake up..

Push the start button without the lanyard on. It won't start... but it should turn on everything. If it doesn't... check the fuses in the MPEM.

By any chance, did you hook up the battery backwards?? Even for a second? If you did... the MPEM may be roasted.

no battery was connected correctly, but no it doesn't turn anything on for ignition/gauges fuses are good too

Well I put a new DESS post in and success.. chirped and engines turned over, now i installed a new battery because the one that was in there was weak, and nothing again.. no dash power.. WTF.....

Some skis and boats have an extra wire at the battery to either ground or activate the MPEM. Look for a second wire by the battery.

ground wire or power wire? Im getting one beep now after i hold down the start buttons with the key off the post, and was getting two beeps when i held the starter button down one at a time, also it did crank over once then it wouldn't after the second try

I'd double check your battery and connections. You keep getting conflicting issues. Hard to fix when there is no consistency.

brand new battery, that wire is grounded it comes out of the harness near the mpem, cleaned all the connections the first time around..everything is tight, all accessories work as they should.. im thinking a match will repair this problem.. I did call the dealer he thinks maybe a key issue so going to get it reprogrammed to a new key tomorrow.. fingers crossed

Took it to the dealer to get a key programmed and their tool couldn't connect to the boat?

How many grounds do these boats have? 2 @ each motor and the one for the mpem are there and more?

Wow! Old post Batman.

The DESS post is the post that you connect the lanyard to that sends a signal to the MPEM to read the lanyard "KEY". THe is the physical post that the lanyard connects to.
