Want to give an update on the cc of the sbt head. It was the same as a stock but man you c

an see the step they put in it for the squish

Another question, I took the grab bar off and the inserts came out. Can I glue them or need new?uploadfromtaptalk1452126261294.jpg

I've had good luck with the handles not doing that to me. You could probably find a clean replacement for around $25 shipped or just get by with some two part epoxy.

I was right on the SBT head. I figured they had to nail the cc to get stock compression right. An OEM head is better for sure but I'd over cut the squish also if I offered a "no fault" warranty.

can any one point me in the right place to look for the colored hose for the water cooling? I could always use black but ya know might do something different

Lol I have been researching the exact same thing the last 2 days. I have some links saved on my tablet I can forward later. McMaster Carr does to have them.

Ive got real deal silicone braided hose. It aint cheap, esp the 1/2" but man it looks good. Its blue, might order some in black or red.

I wanted to post this, after all the squish talk I went back and read some things...and #1 Harry never went over his preferred squish, he was more into preaching the 170psi and talked about the variation in pistons and assembly factors.

Here is what I found in the race manual:

That's some good info nick, thanks for pointing this out.

Got some question, has any one ever used one of these on your ski? After doing some reading I think it might be a good idea to know my exhaust temperature. Just to make sure I'm on the safe side

What's the best way to get this off?

Can some one tell me what one is the vts fuse in the rear ebox, top or bottom?

I did get some work done tonight. I got the ski stripped down and flipped and started to buff the bottom. Also finished up my backing plate for the sponsons.

Nice work on the sponsons the look original for sure.

Ive never seen anyone use the Koso Gauge, Id be interested in seeing it work. Just FYI, the Hot Tachs had all sorts of issues. water wise too. People sent them in for repair all the time.

As far as the tool to get the outlet out...I will post it in my thread. I feel dumb for not pointing that out.

The exhaust outlet nut on my 96 wasn't very tight at all. I forget how I ended up getting it off and on, but I've heard you can make a 'socket' by heating up a piece of appropriately sized ABS drain pipe and sliding it over the nut and letting it cool. Follow the wires for the VTS Into the top connector and through the bottom connector. I want to say the bottom one is VTS but ???

Where did you put your sensors at on the exhaust? Got a pic?

It's cheaper to buy and install one than replace a topend

Well got some more done today. Flipped the ski and spend about 3 hrs of just buffing ....then I gave the ski a bath in rubbing alcohol then I applied xzilon . Not sure if you guys have ever heard of it, it was used on airplanes to wax them. It's some very good stuff hit the car market a couple years ago. When the rep came to our dealership to promote the product he gave me 5 bottles for free. It's definitely the real deal though.uploadfromtaptalk1452405415862.jpguploadfromtaptalk1452405440765.jpguploadfromtaptalk1452405477036.jpguploadfromtaptalk1452405508283.jpg
