Just got the machine and a clamp off the flywheel had not been tighted. Daughter did not realize that water had been filling the machine. Battery light came on when they went to switch riders. It died, she tried to start but then nothing. I found the water, emptied it, no water in the engine.

Battery is new and fully charged, starter relay(solenoid) was replaced but not the problem. Crossing the posts makes engine roll but pressing the switch button on the handle still does nothing. It was running great and could use some ideas. Checked the cables from battery - tight, starter - tight, two fuses - ok. Please help!!

Q

if you have a multi meter/volt meter, put the black to ground and the red to the small ignition post, have someone or you at the same time check for power to the starter relay ignition small post while pressing the strat button... let me know what you come up with and we will go from there

I will be trying this in just a little but but can you tell me what I might be looking for or what to then try to look for (depending on what I find). What should I look foron the multio meter?

You are looking to see if you are getting the voltage signal from the start switch to the relay, if when you press start it says zero or very low then you are not getting your ignition signal to the relay......let us know the voltage you find to it...

ok them assuming that you tested it correctly there is no ignition signal coming from the start switch.....now you need to see if you are getting power to the start switch, same thing test for voltage at the start switch, your key will need to be put on the lanyard post.

Does your ski have the beeper on it, when you insert the lanyard it does 2 short beeps?

I will try your recommendation. It used to beep when I would put the key on. Now it does not.

Oh and thanks for your help

If it does not beep when you put the key on but it did before this problm then do not bother checking that start switch, first thing to try is clean your lanyard post and key with an eraser, then try again.
