I've been tinkering a bit here and there, taking care of small things, splitting time between projects. I ended up using the engine I had previously built for this into another ski.. so ultimately, I'm down to just waiting for a few parts to come in, get my cylinders bored, and then I can throw the engine into this ski.
Same thing as before, everything is blasted and painted, bolts are shined up and ready to go.

I upgraded a few little things, like the grips and sponsons , and aftermarket f/a, but that's about it.

I had a bunch of these style grips laying around, so I used em.

That plenum cover looks tight, powder coat?

Really love the sponsons, thanks again!
Nah, good ol spray paint. I think I'm going to try filling the emblem and stuff in matching purple.. because why not.
Sponsons are great, appreciate it!

I have a ramp, engine hoist, and a hard cast on my leg now haha I'm ready to get some work done. Started on getting UMI on. Still have to strip the old engine and send it off to someone and install the new one and align. Then the mods begin.

Last night was a big night.. filling the fluids!
Engine is together and back in, I still need to bolt in the carbs and finish little piddly stuff like finish blasting/painting the pipe and aligning the engine.

I bought a Blacktip seat cover on black Friday, but have decided against using it... and instead am going to send off my seat to JetTrim. I am thinking of doing a black/yellow/silver combo to emulate the look of the RXX seat.

And now, two pictures I took with a potato.

Sweet, save the shipping ave just buy the cover from jet trim and install it your self

I thought of it, but for the 50 bucks it'll cost me to ship, I would just feel better having a professional do professional stuff. Dabbling in upholstery work is one thing that just doesn't interest me.. I know my strengths, and that (along with brain surgery) is just not in my wheelhouse.

More than 50 it has to be shipped both ways

I actually impressed myself with this last night...
A completely mess free rejoining of the pipe in the ski. Typically I end up with a bit of ultra copper on the pipe, or the ceiling, the dog, wherever.
