Haven't had my boat in the water in over 3 years. Has low miles. 2nd owner. Im pretty sure everything is stock. The boat is 18 years old. I Have started it periodically over that 3 year time it was stored so it wasn't just sitting. What should I do to the engine before putting it back in the water? I.e. Spark plugs, cap, rotor, change oil, filters, wires.....etc. thank you.

I would do the following

- Clean Rave valves
- Replace Rave valve gaskets and o-rings
- Drain old gas
- Replace fuel filters
- Add a little 2 stroke oil to your fresh tank of gas (small amount like a ounce per gallon)
- Replace oil filters
- Inspect all oil lines especially the oil injection lines
- Grease PTO boot (Using a grease gun, the pro has a fitting on it)
- Replace spark plugs
- Remove spark plug boots and cut back plug wires (1/4")
- Remove air box and inspect (Make sure no animals have made a nest inside)
- Inspect water regulator operation
- Inspect Oil injection pump timing
- Inspect throttle cables (Make sure they are opening the carbs fully upon full throttle)
- Run it on a hose before taking it to the water to inspect for any leaks

Last but not least I would remove the carbs and inspect the internal filters at the bare minimum. I know thats not a recommendation you want to hear but its a must. Also upon inspection if you see any deposits inside I would strip the carbs, ultrasonic clean and rebuild with genuine Mikuni parts.
