Loosen the clamp on the Carbon Seal (CS) boot that is attached to the hull. Move the boot toward the CS and tighten the clamp. Then put a zip tie in the gap you made behind the boot. This keeps the boot from sliding back where it was.

Will have to try once i've replaced the stupid trailer winch.. broke the handle on it this weekend.

Correct. By moving the back of the bellies toward the CS, it places more pressure against the CS and help with cavitation.

It crazy how much it will cavitate with just the carbon seal being worn. I'm gonna test this fix out this weekend before I pull it apart to replace it for real.

I didn't end up doing the 'mod'. When i had pulled the seal cover, the pto boot was shredded so i just left it alone until parts came in. Soooo for an update, I rebuilt both pumps and thu-hull seal assemblies.
