went with the 95'.

here are two pictures.. cleaned the piss out of the boat today, two brand new rotax engines.. still have some inspecting to do..

indicator for the oil level snapped at the elbow and batteries need some life back but other than that we should be ready to ride.

took batteries out and forgot exactly which way that jumper (black) was oriented.. i guess these batteries run parallel

here are two pictures, one in the driveway and one on site with my dad in the pic. awesome boat, very proud.

thanks. the top half of the seats need some tendering to.. same with the white bow seat. is it possible to get these seats clean as show room? or are they destined to be dirty-ish.. ?

there was quite a bit of water under the storage compartment from when the guy hosed it out, it was pretty dumb on his part because it brought a lot of oiliness from the engine compartment, just sorta spread it all over it was a pain in the a** hole getting it clean. i can't wait to see if these batteries hold a charge I'm eager to fire it up..

what does dewinterizing consist of?

As far as cleaning the seats... I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (extra power). I couldn't believe how much junk they wiped off my Sportster seats. I even used them to get other junk off the actual boat. Give 'em a try.

hey parothd, i saw you did one large marine batt. in your 95', do you remember what battery you used? Trying to figure out what battery to get, don't wanna damage my starter, electrical system, etc.

A marine deep cycle 12v battery, measure the space available after you cut out the center dividers, then find the largest one that you can fit.. :)

I have a westmarine store nearby, you definitely want a marine deep cycle battery, there's no issue with the AMPs, just make sure you hook all the positives(red) to the positive terminal and same with the negatives(Black) and it's 12volt..

alright that's way simpler than i thought, i was afraid that amps would have to be way specific.. i was reading a thread here the other day about a guy w/ a 95' speedster who did the batt conversion and way having difficulty with one of his starters, kinda freaked me out. but i'm really not looking forward to buying 2 batteries if i can do one... prob gonna go that route THANKS!

yeah i was reading that, i hoped he would specify the batt model at least, but w/e.. I was reading in another post that the guy's wires were overheating; possibly because of the gauge was too thin, but idk the thread ended.

Get some HydroTurf for that boat, best purchase I ever made, esp. considering I almost knock my teeth out getting on the dock one day. The deck is slippery, and the mats cover a majority of the step areas.

yeah, seadoo square pants, I have been wading through the color options.. I'm really thinking purple; because I've seen what that looks like on the vessel and it seems to mesh w/ the color scheme but I still have some mechanical investigations to make (nothing wrong just tuning)..

My dad was sayin the textured sections won't be slippery but I call bullshit on that one the first thing I thought was how slick that deck could probably get when wet.

do you have a specific texture on yours? I like the diamond plate texture but idk for sure yet, grooved is nice too

Yeah the factory grip texture is pretty much useless. When it is wet it makes no difference. Hydroturf is the best thing you can add.

Your dad has obviously never been on a boat.. :) The hydro-turf also adds cushion so you can sit/move around the boat without hurting yourself...

yeah he's one of those stiffs that doesn't like to tamper with factory settings if he can help it, although he's way more than capable.

aka lazy..

do these steering wheels not turn if the boat isn't on or hooked up to batteries? or do I have some aluminum binding going on, because I can't turn the wheel man........
