Ok thanks I'm waiting on my wear ring now and also bought the neoprene seal which when I took out the pump today didn't see any sign of one ever been put on there is that because the oem wear ring lip acts as the seal or should I just put the neoprene seal either way?

Yea didn't know a trash bag can cause so much damage , now I'm worried if the driveshaft got bent too since it was wrapped up around it even though plastic does stretch . What's your opinion should I worry about it .

Could be a bad ground wire I had the same thing happen to me a couple weeks ago , I put a new battery and rebuild my starter and still wouldn't turn over . I changed my ground wire and bingo fired right up.

No I didn't order the gasket kit didn't think that was a major problem only the carbs kit and thanks for the heads up on the springs . What do you think about the oil in jet pump can it go bad after a year of sitting there ? Should I worry about it or ride it out I honestly don't even know how...
