I sucked up a trash bag yesterday riding and thought it was just cavitation I didn't realize it the bag until I got home and took a look under the intake grate , look what it did to my wear ring .

It doesn't take much as the clearances are minimal.
Yea didn't know a trash bag can cause so much damage , now I'm worried if the driveshaft got bent too since it was wrapped up around it even though plastic does stretch . What's your opinion should I worry about it .

It probably didn't. They are pretty tough as long as they don't get stalled. Line bends them due the the side load. Plastic normally gives and tears.

It is possible, but not likely in your case.

Ok thanks I'm waiting on my wear ring now and also bought the neoprene seal which when I took out the pump today didn't see any sign of one ever been put on there is that because the oem wear ring lip acts as the seal or should I just put the neoprene seal either way?

Yea osd parts has that one but I always go with oem parts just to be on the safe side even though sometimes they can be pricey , for example I lost my hood deflector when I caught a big wave and landed hard on impact . Seadoo warehouse was selling it for $169 just for the plastic piece and no graphics on it so I started searching on Craigslist and found a guy that sold me the whole hood mirrors, gauges, hood deflector for $100 a deal on wheels

Not sure how similar they are, but my 99 GTI doesn't have the neoprene seal either. Check the manual for your year/model.

I checked the manual and it doesn't show a neoprene seal but since I had ordered already i decided to put it on anyways. I don't think it would hurt to have extra seal . Quick question maybe you can help me with i installed the new wear ring and when I turned on the jet ski for about 30 seconds I seen that the impeller scraped the wear ring a bit is this normal?

Is the wear ring OEM? Is the pump in otherwise good order? If there is lots of play on the impeller, I'd say it needs a rebuild.

There are some good guides on here how to do it and what to check. You'll then need to pressure test it when you're done.
