Hi there!
So I have a XP limited from 98 with the stock two Mikuni SBN 46 that are having some trouble.
On both I replaced the needle and seat with a new 2.0 one.
One carb simply won't get the correct pop-off pressure. I tried springs 65g, 80g and 95g (stock) and all results in a pop-off of 28psi.
The XPL should be in 19-23psi range. Bended the arm but at a certain point the needle will go to high and get stuck.
Did remove the fuel pump from the Mikuni and swapped it with the bracket from the other carb so the fuel pump doesn't affect my pop-off reading.
The other carb is a big mystery. Changed needle and valve but it keeps leaking past the needle at 1 or higher psi.
Swapped arm, spring, needle and valve from the other carb but whatever I do it just keeps leaking and is very frustrating.
Has anyone encountered such issue? Is my carb dead?
Thanks in advance!!
Melvin
