Hey guys!
I'm new to owning my own seadoos, and recently picked up an older GTX-DI and so far so good, but I'm definately in thr market for another seadoo.
My friend owns two 95 xp 720s that he loves, with another friend running a 99 xp 951.
So while searching around, I've come by a couple 96 xp 800s in my area, and a few 99s.
Originally I had my kind set on the 96 as ivr heard great things about that motor. But at the same time, being as my. Gtx has the 951, I'm curious if I should consider the 951 version of the xp.
I've read some questionable comments regarding the xps and 951 and water ingestion, and it has me a bit concerned.
Can anyone shed some light on this for someone like myself that is new to maintaining seadoos?
I'm a fairly mechanically I inclined motocross racer, so working on things doesn't normally bother me, but these things look pretty intimidating to me right now!
Do the 96 xp have less chance of taking on water than a 99? If so, how come?
Is there anything I can do to be proactive and make sure water ingestion is kept to a minimum? With the xps being so tippy,
How do you guys keep them running properly?
Additionally, anything I can do to make the most out of my current gtx and avoid things like ingestion?
