What would you pay for a 2006 GTI SE with 521 hours and damaged hull?

Hello, I am new to the PWC owners world but not new to riding. I am considering the purchase of a 2006 GTI SE that has around 521 hours and the upper and lower hull was damaged.

My brother-in-law just purchased 2 GTI SE's w/ trailer and one of them was damaged from the previous owner hitting a dock. So I am considering buying the damaged one from him and fixing the hull but I don't know what I should offer him. I was told the ski runs good but never water tested due to the hull damage and with the hours around 521 and no knowledge of its history I don't want to over pay.

Not worth fixing. Find a good used hull and swap the motor. The ski is only worth $3500 in good running and cosmetic condition. Over 500 hours is a lot.

I would only pay $800 for it if it runs good as is and I buy lots of skis.

Do you know the different models/years of sea-doo that this motor would fit in? I am going to start searching for a hull.

The simplest swap will be with a 2006-2010 GTI hull. They usually can be found pretty easily. Where are you located? I know of a couple people with one of these hulls.
