Just wondering if any one can tell me what this is? My friend has my old 2003 GTX and he was running today and all the sudden he lost all power. you plug in your DESS and it gave a long beeeeeeeep with no info displaying on the dash! We towed him back to shore took off the seat and I found the battery cable loose like way loose. I tighted it back up to no avail.. We towed it back to shore and home then put a charge on it and nothing happened took a look and a 5 amp fuse was blown changed it out and bam blew that one changed that one and bam blew that one ran out of 5 amp fuses and put in a ten and every thing is fine now runs dosn't show any p faults so what could this one be?

Interesting

you could have a temp sensor going out that usually gives you one long beep, i'm not sure what the 5 amp fuse is going to trim, or somthing else. check to see if you are shorting out becuase if it blew then with the 5amp a 10 amp can make somthing get hotter and possable start a fire let us know where that fuse goes. I still think something might have gone bad but you'll want to investigate where it leads.

never put in a larger fuse unless you like smoke and flames...they have a certain size fuse in there for a reason, check what that circuit is, and put the correct fuse in it.

MPEM CDI Blowing the 5 amp fuse

MPEM CDI Blowing the 5 amp fuse , check with All things custom a member on here that might be able to help you, but may not due to the fact you put in a larger fuse, do not ever put in a larger fuse to make it work.....you will end up costing yourself more money
