On my 1997 challenger with the 787 I have a large water leak at the bottom of the exhaust cone pipe where the stainless steel band is, i had to remove the pipe to replace the leaking manifold gasket.
I know how to re-tighten the band but should there be water here? I know the water jackets end before the band so either water is leaking from a crack in the water jacket on the inside of the cone pipe or does the exhaust water regulator send that much water into the resonator that it can make it all the way up to the ss band? im not sure if this is actually a problem other then the band not being on correctly or not
thanks jeff
