Made it out on the water a couple times yesterday and I was playing with the trim up and down and couldn't really figure out the effects too much, could some one tell me the pros/cons of having it all the way up and all the way down?

Do you have a gauge that works? The gauge kinda shows u what it will do. If your vts is working u will def tell the dif at all the way up its trying to jump out of water at all the way down its more nose down. And center is well center.

Yeah there's no gauge, I did figure out that all the way up keeps the nose up and down kept it down but I ment more whats better for trying to jump some waves and whatnot or like a more indept explanation of the scenarios ones would be better then the other

Oh okay, for jumping wakes I keep mine up just a little past center. If you go all the way up.and gun it that's fun to u just keep launching out of the water. I sometimes stand on the back and put trim up and you can make ski go vertical lol. But if your Realy to race by someone it needs to go down or you will be like a dolphin just jumping in and out lol. My wife won't touch the trim on her xp scared she will fly off.

On the 96 XP, my only ski that has VTS I just keep it in the middle, seems to perform O.K. Mine doesn't work so I just manually set it about center. I'll fix it after the season is over, winter project.

Yea, keeping nose up makes you do wheelies when you gun it. For jumping waves I like it a little lower than center. I like to maintain some sort of parallel between the ski and the water. With VTS all the way up you will fly up and land perpendicular to water. It's also fun, just play around and see what you like. Turning trim all way up and turning is kind of fun, you can do this cool twirl with the nose way in the air :D
