New here at seadooforums, and i dont own a sea doo yet, but I am thinking about it. My wife and I are trying to have a baby, and my niecies and my nefew visit often, and my loud azz classic jet boat scares the hell out of anyone under four years old. I am thinking about purchasing a seadoo type boat to use as more of a family boat. I am used to fuel sucking big blocks and fast boats, mine does 76 on gps, and to be honest I am not a two stroke guy.

On to my question, What is the general top speed of these boats (single vs twin jet)? Also i am guessing that these boats are much less maintence than classic jet boats, but how do they compare to PWCs? We put more gas in my co-workers jet ski in a weekend than we do in my big block, and neither one comes out of the water unless weather goes bad. Do these boats suck as much fuel as a PWC? and yes, my foot will be in it.

Depends what years your looking into and what models(challenger, sportster, speedster) and if you want a new 4 tech...... but speaking in general, most of the boats (depending if it has single or twin engines) will do anywhere from 48-60 mph
