:ack:

i have what i am told is a 93 spx, thats about all i know, the elect system is a basket case. at this point i need a wiring diagram for the box inside it. the vin is zzn25617l293

anyone help?

im told it didnt have spark, i did find the 2 yellow wires off the stator had poor connections. but the whole e-box is apart. so it needs to be reconnected first

thanks::cheers:

ok i joined once i looked around, and i found that it is a 93, but when i go to the wiring diagram it goes my model number, none of which seem to match the vin, any ideas?

Making head way

i have the electrics back together, and it will now crank with the switches, however, it has no spark. there is no power at coil. only a ground (weak) from the mpem. i have another mepm, but its a newer one with all together different wire colors. any ideas?? i was told this was a good running machine, time will tell there.

thanks guys already

make sure all wires/cables are clean, terminals at connections are clean/no corrosion, check fuses...and if all good, then, with still no spark..Unplug the black/red wire between the mpem and coil and see if it starts. If it does, you have an issue with a switch or the rev limiter in the mpem. If it doesn't, the stator or coil are the places to look. Also, if it does start with that unplugged, be prepared to kill with the choke since the stop and lanyard buttons are bypassed

i will try that tonight. im thinking its the stator, only because at one time everything but that was replaced. there is a pulsed ground to the coil. i am assuming that the pulse is the lack of a power signal. not sure, is there any tricks to getting that front fly wheel off?

:cheers:

haha...yeah, use the 3-exhaust pipe/to manifold bolts, and thread them into flywheel. Then get steering wheel puller/harmonic balancer puller (rent them from autozone..etc), and hook jaws to bolts, then "turn" away. She'll pop., but dont lose the woodruff key.:cheers:
Thread them in about 1/4in, or you'll smash the stator assy.
