Hi,

I just changed out a speedometer sensor on a 2000 Seadoo LRV. When I first started to use the jet ski again, I believe the analog gauge started at 0 mph and then seemed to show faster then I was actually going. I thought that maybe the resistance in the unit or the settings on the gauge were a little off. I tried to use the Seadoo again a couple of days later. Now the analog gauge is reading 10 mph as soon as I put the lanyard on. Can anyone help fix this.

Thanks,
Nate

What does it do after you run it....I would check the connections and make sure all is clean and a good contact.

I totally disconnected the connector at the rear of the jet ski. I then started the jet ski. It was reading 10 mph again. I will take it out on the lake and see what it does today when it is connected on the water.

I measured the voltage coming in on the wiring harness to the gauge. The manual states 12 volts is spec. I was receiving a 11.7. That is the charge on the battery also. I put a 12.2 volt power supply to the gauge and I am still reading 10 mph.
