ok so i removed the choke and fuel cables that are attatched to the carb when cleaning, and when i went to put them back on i couldnt figure out how it went.

i got the fuel cable connected and has good tension, but the choke is giving me headaches, i cant figure out how it sets and which way those little paperclip looking springs sit on the knob by the carbs, its a 1997 GTI7 720 single carb.

If someone could please just take a pic of thier exsisting carb im sure that would show me how, thanks again.

There was a nut i removed that held the choke on the carb, behind that nut is a spring type lever that keeps tension on the choke piece, just like the throttle, i will post a pic later, i just cant figure out which way it sits/faces

OK... yes, you removed the choke arms. Normally, you just loosen the set screw in the end of the cable pin... and slide the cable out of the barrels.

The spring is loaded when the choke is open. So, put the spring on the body, and wind it back a little. Then put the arm on, with the coke open, and let the spring go, on the back side of the arm.

i some what know how it goes, but just can get it all set right, if anyone has a photo of one let me know, heres what mine looks like, its the top one
