I have 2 Zieman PWC trailers with faded unreadable VIN tags. Both have a plate welded to the front of the trailer with last numbers if the VIN marked as "chassis #", but I need to find the complete VIN for verification at MVD.
Does anyone know where these numbers are stamped on the trailer?

Not sure about Zieman but Shorelander only has the sticker VIN. Nothing is stamped so once it is faded and gone you are out of luck.

you can call the manufacture, and ask for a new sticker, and ask why the hell they tag thousand dollar trailers with.. STICKERS when they.... GO IN THE WATER...

I tried that with Shorelandr and without knowing the VIN of the trailer you already have and proof that it is your trailer they will not give you a new tag. Seems absolutely stupid they are the only ones not required to actually stamp the VIN.

I know what the VIN # is on both trailers, as I have papers. The MVD wants to see them on the trailers. I called a Zieman again today, and finally got hold of someone who can help me out. New ID stickers are $15 per trailer.

I just ordered a custom sticker off eBay. Just figured it was wise to have something on the trailer. Ordered 4 of them. Putting one somewhere I can hid it.

Wow $15 is cheap. Loadrite wanted $30. I was able to get a pic with my phone, but it was a reflection sort of. It was enough for loardite to sell me a new one. They did not have a second one on the trailer.

As long as you have the paperwork, just etch it on the trailer in a couple places; someone would need to prove you are wrong. Go to a different motor vehicle office for verification. Can always say you etched it before the sticker "fell off" or became unreadable.
