With school starting soon we may not get out on the ski many more times this year. Is it recommended to add a can of Seafoam to the gas tank to help stabilize the gas?

I would add stabilizer to the fuel... and winterize it if your done for the season.Do you have a seadoo shop manual? If not here’s an idea for you. You could join as a "premium member". As a premium member you can down load a authentic seadoo manual from the seadoo manual library. In the library is a variety of manuals for almost all years and models. You can view as many as you like on line as a PDF file, or download it and print it for your personal and private use. There are operator manuals and repair manuals for you to do your own repairs on your seadoo. The repair manuals have everything from troubleshooting, repair procedures to winterizing. It contains wire diagrams torque specs and pictures for disassemble and assemble instructions. In the spec sheets it tells everything needed to maintain oil changes, spark plug gaps, carburetor rebuilds and impeller wear ring tolerances. Click on the "Seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any help or get in a jam, we are always here to answer your questions too. Will use stabilizer when it comes time to put away for the winter - we're not quite there yet.

I guess my question was more geared towards those times when there are long gaps between uses. Do you recommend using Seafoam ever?

The only time I would use anything is if your putting it up for for say 4 to 5 weeks at a time. I just don't believe in using anything other than a stabilizer to the fuel for a long time frame. Seafoam could be used if needed.

Seafoam does claim fuel stabilization abilities in addition to being an engine cleaning agent. I don't know that I would run it continuously though. If you are merely looking for stabilization of fuel, then I would buy a product specific to that task. However as Karl claims, I wouldn't uses it unless you plan on storing or letting the machine sit for long periods.
