it it worth it to go the extra $$ for the gti 155 over the 130? details on power band and speed please. it look as the engines are the same displacement. is it a computer tune?.
from researching the gti looks to be the most nimble of the newer 4 tec lineup. and dont care to go with a super charged one. thanks.

The 155 is normally is the slightly heavier skis The 130 does a very good job for the "smaller" rating. I rode a GTI 130 not to long ago and I was shocked. My GTX is heavier than the GTI and I would think the 130 would be working harder to carry the GTX.

So I think it depends on the frame the 130 is in.

cool thanks for sharing, so far i'm leaning towards the gti 130se. from what ive read, there is only a couple mph difference. i also like the idea of the mid v hull for a bit more playfulness than the deep v like the gtx has.. even though my rfi hasnt started very well, when i am able to ride, the water has been pretty choppy and beats the heck out of my older body lol! i didnt mind it so much when i had my 97 gsx but i was much younger. so i figured the 3 seater would be a welcomed change but still like to play. the 4 tec seems to be the way to go for reliability as well.

I would pay the extra and get the GTI 155.

I used to have a GSI ( same hull as the GSX ) and it was a fun little machine but when it got rough it would beat you up, after riding a GSX the GTI is going to feel like a Cadillac in the chop and still be fun to throw around if you want to. My riding partner has a GTR ( same hull as the GTS / GTI ) and it handles the chop comfortably yet still carves when you want to have fun it's also a dry ride when it gets rough. The 4Tecs are night and day difference over the two strokes basically gas and go change the oil and spark plugs once a year and ride it. I have an 05 GTX that has over 200 hours and it's been the most reliable watercraft I have owned.

We have both. The 155 goes 59mph and the 130 goes 56-7. Save the dough and buy a 130. Now that being said, there are still some 2014 155 limiteds around which I bought for 11k and still got the 5 year warranty

the limited is the one i really want but need to watch the budget. i too have thought about a left over 2014 model. it will at least be a se model as for just a few hundred more gets some cool options that i would like.

I went from a gsx rfi to an 06 gtx 155 to a 2015 gtx 155. What a difference. Don't know how i was able ti ride the gsx...

130 and 155 are the same weight for the same models, only difference is ECU and cam and the price tag. 155 will pull a little harder and will go about 3 mph faster but most people don't even notice the difference when riding one right after another. The 130 is the way to go if you're on a budget.

I just purchased (3) 2015 GTI SE 155's & (1) 2015 GTI 130 SE last week... My girlfriend loved the Manta Green which is only available on the 130 SE model. So far the biggest difference is in the launch power/feeling and a few MPH on the top end. I have gone from the 155 to the 130 and back and it doesn't really matter much other than that initial 'wow' feeling off the line. But non the less I would still recommend if you can afford it the 155 as the resale would be easier down the road :-)

should be getting a 2015 gti 130 this weekend, getting a killer deal with 1k rebate. very excited!

Awesome, congratulations. Be sure to post some pictures
yes after having a hard battle with my gsx rfi (as you may have read in the 2 stroke forum) it is time to have some fun, getting rid of the rfi.:) will post some pics for sure. thanks

Good for you jammin777! Mine was about $10,300 out the door including tax, tag, title, prep, etc. (I opted for the 5 year warranty instead of the rebate though) Hope you get a great deal!

getting a gti 130 for 8800 out the door with added boarding step after instant rebate and this dealer dosn't charge for setup! just 75.00 doc fee and tax and 45.00 for title. plus it look like i will get 1000 for my gsx rfi and may get them to throw in a cover.

well, it's a done deal going to go pick up the new ski tomorrow morning. (2015 gti 130 white and blue and black) bring it home long enough to put on regi no's and put in all the required safety equipment, and off i go to start breaking her in. should be nice to have a ski that will start on command.
going to be a great day:)

Coming from a two stroke you are going to love the gas and go reliability of the 4Tec. I have over 200hrs on my GTX and it's needed nothing besides regular maintenance.

Don't get too wound up on break in procedure, check fluids and ride it like normal with a few short under load full throttle runs.

We expect pics tomorrow !

sounds like the break in is not as painful as a 2 stroke from what I've read. I'll try to post pics tomorrow night. as well as change my avatar lol

Break in? I have never broken in an engine and have not had problems lol

my new gti 130

got it! man, i love it way better than my gsx when it comes to choppy water! i was actually able to plow thru and throw it around as well. did some 180's and a managed to do a couple of 360's but also carves pretty well too. it had zero hrs in it and now has just under 2. but man that thing looks like a titanic compared to the gsx
sitting in my garage. did i say i love this ski? they also gave me 1350 for the gsx. so i paid out the door $7800 after trade in, $1000 instant rebate. including extras such as a cover, extra rf dess key and boarding step.
oh and the IBR is fantastic!

Gotta love the brake and reverse on these new machines as well. So easy to maneuver and pull on the trailer compared to my bud's older RXP with pull up leaver. Very content with my 2012 GTI 155. So economical to run as well . If I could do it again I would have grabbed the Ltd just for the dual gages. Just back from 2 weeks on the St. Lawrence 1000 islands area. Awesome place for a ski.
