Hello again everybody. So after fixing my 1992 sea doo SPI i took it to the lake. Before backing in the trailer i started it on land, all was well. So we put it in the water and i start it and take off and ride it for 4 or 5 minutes, come back and shut it off. Well when i went to start it again, simply put, it wouldn't. Throttle wide open, would not start. Throttle closed, would not start. Throttle half open, w/n/s. choke out, w/n/s, choke out throttle open, w/n/s. After trying all these things i would always hold the throttle wide open again because maybe i loaded up the motor. You see what i'm getting at here. After letting the ski sit for about 5 minutes i hopped back on it and it started.
I'm relatively new to 2-stroke motors but i think there is a technical aspect behind this since generally after letting the motor load up after a no wake zone you have to hold the throttle open to get it to fire but i tried EVERYTHING. And for a long time.
After it sat for a while and FINALLY started it ran fine and i could shut it off and start it up after that.
If you think this is a mechanical error please throw some knowledge my way
If you think this is me being a noob to 2 stroke motors don't be ashamed to call me an idiot and tell me how to prevent this so i can spread the knowledge to my younger family so they don't get stuck dead in the water.
Thanks
