red oil in hull?

Hey everyone, just joining this forum.

About to get a pair of SeaDoos (98 GTX LTD, 02 RX DI) when I went to look at them I was pretty pleased with the condition. But I did have one question.

The 02 RX DI had some red oil in the bottom of the hull at the back. Couldn't really say how much, but didn't look to be a lot. I think it may be the impeller oil?

Apparently, when it was winterized and put away it got a new impeller (and probably wear ring) installed due to sucking up some rocks. I got under it and looked. Impeller looked brand new. Still had a sticker on it.

So I am wondering, is this likely just spilled oil from refilling the impeller oil after the replacement?

I searched around quite a bit, but didn't find anyone else with a similar topic.

injector oil?

Some of the different injector oils I've seen are anywhere from pink to purple, .....so look inside the oil injection tank.

If not, then I agree with CAT....could be anti freeze.

I did suspect the oil injection oil at first. But that oil is a dark blue/green/blackish color.

I put my finger in it and its def. some kind of oil. I'd say similar weight to a motor oil, but red in color.

I wonder if somebody used transmission oil for some reason. I'm stumped as well.
