98 GTX Limited - HI-TEMP & OIL LOW codes

Hello, new to to forum. I have a set of 98 GTX Limited that I’ve been rebuilding. Got it to start and drive but I’m having an issue with the info screen. I’m getting a flashing red light and HI-TEMP & OIL LOW codes. It also does not show hours just 4 dashes on the meter. It also does not show me a fuel gauge. I tried the fix of unplugging the compass but that didn’t work. The oil reservoir has been deleted when I received it and there is a wire jumping the oil sensor. I have checked all connections on the harness and have tested all the fuses and all of them looked fine and all had some dielectric grease on the connectors. I was wondering if there is any other fix other than replacing the gauges or is that an issue with the computer? Any suggestions or help would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming your engine isn't running hot. If that is the case the temp sensor may have went out or the wire broke.
Also, you might want to take the guage out and take it apart and see if it is corroded inside.
Do you still have the oil container and sensor?

Tore it apart, corroded all over. Just ordered one to replace, thanks though. I do not have the oil tank unfortunately. I guess previous owner just wired them together to show it’s full all the time to rid the warning light.
