Rebuilt my pump-should I be concerned?

Hey Sportster, you must have tried 2x6 for the framing!
My DIY press using 2x4's is just a hair shy when pressing those bearing. It works OK, but 2x6 is the right starting point after the test.

I figured you chose 2x4 b/c you already had them!

Am I glad I did the pump bearings over. Pressed the new bearings in and the shaft slid in perfectly this time. All torqued down, filled with Mobil 1 75w-90 and leak test held 10psi for 10 min. I will sleep well tonight! Another week or two and should have my engine back and get this show back on the water!!!

I just ordered like the 9th alignment tool for the season if you want to come back over we'll drop that motor in and get the wetsuits out, river isn't to bad in November usually.

I bought an alignment tool and have it bolted in ready for the engine to arrive! If I get it back in the next week or two I can almost say for certain I will have it out..... AND... I do not own a wetsuit! LOL....
