I’m looking for some advice from you smart guys out there! I’ve got two 2005 GTI’s and two months ago had them both winterized. Fast forward to today discovered a pool of fuel in the L/H foot well and evidence of fuel streaming down from the shift lever (see attached). When I opened the fuel filler cap, there was a definite sound of air escaping. Is it possible for the fuel tank to become pressurized forcing fuel overboard??

Check your fuel vent. Strange that the fuel would come from that area. Must have sprayed straight up. Fuel should overflow on the side of the ski. Should be an easy fix. Good Luck !

Looks like the tank was overfilled to me. That is the side and location the fuel fill is on that model.
