i have a 2004 RXP with some of the Riva Stage 2 mods bolted on. I was jumping wakes a bit ago having a blast til i landed one. I lost complete thrust when i press the throttle and there was a vibration underneath. The engine sounded fine and i could hear the supercharger also.
I had idle speed but once i started to give it gas it vibrated. I got to shore to make sure nothing was cavitating it. Put it back in the water and seemed fine again. After about 400yrds it began to porpoise really badly so i stopped to calm her down. Thats when i noticed i was sinking QUICK.
I ended up blowing the carbon seal. i've had that replaced but still have the vibration underneath.
One person suggested the driveshaft was bent. Isnt that a solid piece of steel. Is it common in jumping wakes that the drive shaft bends like that? If so, what is the test to see how bent it is?
