Possible Fire?

Well looks like my newly acquired Speedster was on fire at one point. Not sure if it's worth continuing a rebuild or just selling it and hoping to get what I spent back. Was hoping it would be a simple carb rebuild, new interior, polish and sell.... any recommendations?

Strangely, engines that have been in fires are often not harmed at all. So if your willing to do whatever wire work that may be needed, you'll have the boat you thought you bought.

My family owns a salvage yard. I'll bet we've sold over 100 "fire engines".

That looks like sombody caught the air box on fire and the plastic dripped down but I don't see any thing actually burnt.
