Jet pump outlet info
I believe that someone has reconnected the inlet and outlet hoses back to front on my Jet Pump. I have a 2004 GTI LE RFI.
When i look at the jet pump, it appears that
1. the line with the red tape on it (this one has a tee and supplies water to the water regulator) is coming from the area of the back of the jet pump From the pressure side of the pump, this line is then going to the higher fitting on the head (i believe this to be the head outlet).
2. The other hose is coming from the other side of the jet pump flush fitting side to the bottom fitting n the head (which i believe is the engine water inlet).
I have read through the workshop manual and it doesnt seem to have any really clear pictures of this. But it does give me enough to raise some serious questions about it.
Can someone please confirm if the above is correct or not. I pretty confident i need to switch the hoses around on the head but dont want to go by trial and error.
Although i think this has been like this for a while, so hopefully it wont cause any damage.
