96 Challenger with Rotax 787:
I'm looking for suggestions and recommendations on what you GURUs have done with your own boats or skis to really dial them in.
My current adjustments:
FUEL: 87 Octane from the Gas Station (Not marine fuel)
OIL: XPS 2 Stroke Synthetic Oil Gallon 779127 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075Y6SN1M
PLUGS: .022 - .024 gap
CARBS:
IDLE: Set to 1550 RPM while in water
MAG: Pop-Off - 35 PSI
Low - 1 turn out (Micro adjustments to smooth idle)
High - 0 turns out
PTO: Pop-Off - 35 PSI
Low - 1 turn out (Micro adjustments to smooth idle)
High - 0 turns out
RAVES (Fully cleaned and rebuilt): Screwed all the way in
WATER VALVE (Fully cleaned and rebuilt. Perfect condition): 3 full turns out. Or, flush with cap + two additional "clicks" out
IMPELLER: StarTak 14.5 22.5
Top Speed: 46MPH with full tank
Top RPM: 6900
Out of Hole: 2-3 seconds (Slight dip in RPM when I punch it but springs to life)
Plugs: Mid Brown in color
