Performance mods on the 787

I hear the 787 is a good platform and the is a lot of aftermarket support for it. I've always modded my toys within reason. Typical bolt-ons that probably don't do anything really but make noise. You know, intake, header, exhaust, chip. That kind of stuff.

What is the equivalent in the PWC world? Are there any mods that are actually worth it that don't require a bunch of carb tweaks to account for it?

Also. I really want to know - 2 strokes can sound nasty (in a good way). Can SeaDoo's be loud? Just to piss off the neighbors you know...

Most people just put a solas or scat trak prop and an intake grate if they ride in rough water often to keep it hooked up. Check out groupk for their recommended packages to get a few more hp, or a lot more hp. Just remember, power comes at the price of reliability and longevity. Also if you change the pipe and or head, it will require re jetting of the carbs or the motor will show you it's insides.

The 787 is great for mods but will require quite a bit of carb "tweeking". There is no simple bolt on go and forget about it options. As far as making it loud to piss off the neighbors all I can say is don't be one of those guys. You will not only make less power but you are only going to piss off the neighbors that can close our riding areas and ban us from the lakes and waterways just like "those guys" have for us dirt bikers too.

All true above, however some guys just can't leave well enough alone. If you ever decide you want aftermarket carbs, pipe, head, free flow waterbox, water injection, sponsons, intake grate, trim tabs, etc. just hit me up.

Yes I spend a lot of time making little adjustments ha-ha

I'm not recommending this nor endorsing this, but if you are just looking for noise pick up a TDR waterbox. It will be loud, but can also cause unwanted negative attention to pwc riders. If you ride on a private pond or a lake that is not loaded with houses or other boats then you should be fine. You will most likely get tired of how loud it is and pull it off pretty soon haha

I was mostly looking for mods that were cheap that everyone does. I know with my motorcycle everyone does a PAIR delete, some kind of airbox mod, exhaust, tuner, gearing etc. I was just wondering if that was the case with SeaDoo's as well. Mainly intake grate and prop it looks like for easy bolt-on performance that doesn't piss off the neighbors. Cool, thanks...
