Change your password. I got a notice as well but it was nearly two years ago for me.

hfgreg, JoeZ, I don't think there is anything we can about this, but wanted to bring it to your attention.

I got the notice about a year ago... but my password is strong enough if they can figure it out they deserve to win the lottery so I wasn't worried about it.

Please post the IP addresses that are trying to do this. I will block them

I had this on Just 29.
"The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 37.48.65.122"
Whatever or whomever's doing it will probably be using proxy servers, so the IP address won't mean much, it'll change every time the attack is done.

I guess i am part of the club. Got this jul 9 at 8:44 pm

I got this the other day. I PM'd Lou and he checked, said it's coming from the St. Louis area.

If you look at those IP addresses, you'll see that they are all over the place. The Hacker, BotNet, or Spammer that's perpetrating the attacks is using Proxy Servers. They are very likely untraceable, and the proxy'd addresses, which can be 3-5 servers deep, will change constantly. The St. Louis lookup for that address is "Hosting Solutions International, Inc." International Hosting = Hiding one's identity from the Internet World.
Hackers never do their nasty work through their actual Internet Provider without using proxy servers or they'd be caught immediately.
They should be shot on sight, and Proxy server provisioning should be illegal.

Lol. True words. I have disabled a few things and will be looking into a better means for stopping these attacks.

wow i hope someone hasn't hacked mine, how can you tell? i usually delete my notifications as i read on here any way.
maybe someone impersonating me sending pm's in my name? who knows? seems some folks have turned a cold face toward me, i say this as i have posted in a couple of my own threads (2 stroke forum) and have been ignored. maybe not intentionally but seems that way.

It isn't you they are hacking, it's the Forum's hosting site. They will attemt to break in using any valid account. God only knows what the objective is.
Have any of you that have gotten the alert, ever been a premium member? Using Paypal or a CC for payment?

The site doesn't store any CC info in your account. That is all done by PayPal. Be sure to cahnge your passwords to something secure! The word password is not secure for instance. Use numbers and letters.
