here in Toronto...15degree C today...
crazy!
wish this pwc was ready...i would have gone to fire it for the first time

i still gotta instal the exh mani
put gas and measure the premix oil...i have to go get a mixing cup for that
bleed the oil pump
then i can fire it
the ramps are too shallow so i am not risking fireing it up without the intake grate ... i dont want anything to get sucked into that impeller

oh so pissed right now...
i put the mani and everything together even the silencer base and all...but i forgot i had to bleed the oil lines.
so i gotta take the darn 6 bolts back off for the silencer base to see where the bolt is on the pump then add my oil.
plus i need to grease drive shaft...
i might fire this ski up out of the water this weekend and see what happens....will video tape the whole thing just incase something goes wrong.
cant keep it running for more than 30sec though

You can bleed your pump using a small mirror, a little tricky as your movements seem backwards and it's much easier with the flame arrestor off. It was 65 degrees here in Central New York today, went fishing and caught two very nice brown trout early on. Took the cover off one ski and turned the engine over by hand, far too early here to think about riding so I had a couple Genny Creams and serviced the lawn tractor.

i tried to get the mirror and use it but i just cant find an angle to clearly see the oil pump...
i have never bled the oil so for the first time i really have no clue where the bolt is apart from looking at a picture.

If you look at the picture you will see a hex head bolt on the pump that faces you, kind of stands out on the body of the pump.

We had tornadoes in the area last Friday, snowed here Sunday night, 75 here today, crazy!

It's about 80 here today in FL....yup finally made it.

Spent all day digging and raking bark and mulch to build a new retaining wall.

tell you 1 thing jim, that sure is a nice clean motor, with everything in place, clean hull, nice job -- hope it runs as sweet as it looks

yea its a clean one...
the only thing is and not sure how i am going to get this perfect is the decals were removed and i can see very clearly where they were. its so 2 tone and i dont have a bombardier sticker for both sides on the little sticker on the bow there...so i really need to try and blend it in the best i can. this will be a hardone! i am thinking of wet sanding it and keep going at it.

so i bled the pump...i noticed as soon as i opened the bleeder, the oil started to come down the tube and past the oil filter...
but still some air in there so i closed it back and it was coming out from the bleeder so i think that is enough right??

also i see 3 lines total with oil in it.

Yes there are 3 hoses in the oil system. It's normal to have air in the breather/return hose for the rotary valve. You just want to make sure that the injection hose (with the filter) doesn't have any air.
