I was just given a 1998 GTX Seadoo with trailer by a friend. He said he rolled the ski over and could not start it after that. That was two years ago. Surprisingly enough, it is in great shape. I pulled the spark plugs out and found water in the cylinders. I sucked the water out with a shop vac and sprayed some WD-40 into the cylinders. I never expected the engine to crank, but low and behold it did. I blew the remaining liquid out of the cylinders and installed new plugs. I attempted to start the engine with a little quick start sprayed into the carbs and it kicked. Amazing. I think the carbs need to be removed, cleaned and reinstalled because gas seems to be pouring into the cylinders. I will be doing that tomorrow.
Any other suggestions to get it up and running would be greatly appreciated.
