On the right side of the hull back by the impellor housing & vst, steering linkages is a black plug of some sort. Anyone know what it might be?

Post a picture. Is it an electrical plug or a threaded plug?

Anyone have any ideas how to get this out of my truck by myself? I can't get anyone to come help unload it. I'd like to get on the boat trailer so I can use my truck again

It is a drain plug. unscrew after your ride, just on trailor on the launch, as the bow will be high, just pulling the trailor out so you can access the plug(s), any water on that side of the hull will drain out. I buy and install an additional drain on the opposite side of the jet pump.

There is a drilled hole on the left side & a rubber/brass twist to tighten plug there. I don't see anything other than that plate in the picture. Nothing to screw in there in any of the compartments either

The one pictured is the exhaust, not the drain plug.

Get some skids and a piece of carpet and some ply wood. Make a make shift ramp.

So then there shouldn't be water leaking out of it.

Water will come out of it as the water you ride on is used to cool the engine and the exhaust. So yes, water will come out of it..
