need some help, I think the dealer stuck it to me!

I have an 06 sportster 155 hp, had it winterized by the dealer and was told "you have to watch those guys". The boat has 44 hrs on it, I just tried starting it, when I plug the lanyard in ther is a buzzing from th engine compartment and the tach & speedo go half way irraticly. Battery is good and tried cleaning the lanyard, any suggestions? I know I'm going to get it handed to me @ the dealer

Check the wire connections from the battery, and be sure the battery has a good charge on it.

Buzzing?

You mean like buzzing and won't turn over? Sounds like either a low battery or a bad starter solenoid that's chattering and won't fully close its contacts to give 12v to the starter.

not a starter problem, soon as the lanyard goes on tach & sppedo ro irratic half way, they usually pin out then back to zero. no beeps
