Molykote 111...???

Changed the starter in my GTI and the manual calls for Molykote 111 for re-assembly. Went to AutoZone and NAPA...they never heard of it...any suggestions where I can find it...???

Do a search for Dow Corning Molykote 111, almost any other Molykote that you would purchase will be made by Dow Corning as well.

Yikes...!!! Had no idea that it would be that expensive...!!! Only need a "smear" for 8 bolts...any thoughts on a less expensive alternative...???

What is the manual telling you to put it on? If it's on the bolts... just use some anti-seize. If it's on the O-ring... use some silicone grease.
