ok got some questions. the way its looking im going to get a place right by george town marina. 3 bed room house thats nice. going to see if the wife would be ok with people staying...would be $210 for friday night saturday night and then sunday night (leaving monday). Im bringing two x4s. one is a 96 seadoo spx with the 720 factory pipe 787 carbs ect...other ski is the 787 spx with factory pipe and 44s. i guess my question is do i need to find a way to bring fuel with me when we go out and ride? or whats the plan for riding? not sure how i would bring fuel but i think i got an idea lol i could always try and find away to bring the gs also...maybe put 3 skis on my trailer lol

picked these up today, they're both non-runners, but hopefully the honda will be ready for the meet

Lol I'll talk to her tonight ...she's works all weekend....I think I need to fine a better way to put it lol

thanks guys, yea i'm super excited about it, they were actually supposed to be running skis, after meeting the guy on the lake, well.... the honda cranks, but won't turn over, so he already had it jumped on his van when i got there (hoping won't have ecu issues) and the yamalog had no chance of starting, although he advertised that as running as well... oh well, I basically got them for the price of parts, and hoping to throw some $$ into the honda to get it running nice, snikwad003, if any suggestions on diagnostics, lemme know, spim recommended i fully charge the battery first and then check plugs, i've had the battery on 2A charging since yesterday around 2pm, and it's still taking juice, it's a no-namer cheapo battery, I might pick up an AGM battery

In the honda ive had good luck with the one at advance auto, didnt unhook or charge it this winter and they are both still good, however when I first met the salty hondas they were picky about the batteries. Advance auto also has the fancy $17 a piece plugs  take the intake off the turbo and stick your finger in there and make sure the turbo spins, if not a deep 9mm I think will pop it free, scary I know but have not had any issues since unstuck mine with a rusty screwdriver on the lake. Also there is no way to realy check the oil accurately, so after it sits for more than 24 hrs with out running/cranking evacuate it all out and put 4.5 qts in and NO more let us know what you find with new batt

You will be fine. I've taken the HX out on these rides and made it back on fumes. It only has a 7 gallon tank. Fuel can be left at home base and you can just top off when in between rides. When someone is getting low there is always at least one that wouldn't mind heading back with them.

Was just doing some looking on vrbo, what do u guys think of staying here. Really nice compared to the marina. It has its own boat ramp and its up the river just a little. This is looking like where I'm going to end up.

I like the dates. Time to brap.

looks like quite a few vrbo option, i browsed over them and once I know for sure that its no more than a few miles by water to the likely gathering area i'll pin it down. This is only about 4.5 hours from my place I'll be attempting a Thursday night check-in or friday early afternoon. Lots of water to explore. Condos are viable as well but if I can get firm commitments from one or two of my locals i'll just snag a house with some decent frontage and a fire pit.

For those that have concerns about fuel range honestly Its not a huge deal, even the biggest tanks are limited anyway so it not like we'll be doing long miles out on all but maybe two runs there appears to be enough river to travel as far as the tank allows so i'll certainly be draining my tank more than once and filling up back at the dock. There should be a spot where y'all could pick for some buoys as well on the lake.

looks pretty much self guided but if someone was close a scout run would be awesome, 4.5 each way is quite a haul for me.

Time for me to pin down a roomie and make a reservation :)

I have the days off, so me and my wife plan on attending. I'd like to start a new post in each of the main forums with a link to direct them to this post for info. I just would like someone to confirm the location please. I have the dates as Nov 4-6. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's the general area. There's not a lot of rooms at the marina itself. Others are looking into vbro I've seen a few most have 3 night minimum.

pretty sure i'm down, but no lodging for me, prob just gonna drive up for the day and back at night

I JUST got the dates off today,, have not even looked at booking a place yet. I'll look into that over the next couple of days..

Also I was looking at the river there are a few marinas going up river towards Jacksonville not sure what grade of fuel they carry though I will make a call tomorrow to check. I can fit a small container of race gas in my front compartment of the rxx so I can top off for the ride back if nessacary. I can go about 65 or 70 miles on a tank depending on how long I do wot pulls lol
