On my 2000 GTX Millenium a "Maintenance" message along with a red blinking light displays on screen immediately upon the starting of the engine. Just wondering what maintenance issues needs to be addressed..... thanks for info you all may have.

They will do that until the engine is running and the charging circuit takes over. Bill

Thanks Bill, I wasnt sure what that meant for it just started displaying this very recently.........thanks again.

I've got very similar issue

Ive got the same problem on my GTX DI. Also, it won't go over about 3500RPM or 12-15 MPH. Beeping from monitor is inconsitstent or none at all.

When attaching the DESS, it gives normal 2 short beeps, and has normal display (no MAINT message) until it is started; then MAINT and red LED blink in the display. Runs only 3500 RPM max and a bit rough. I did a bit of troubleshooting and found fair spark on both front and back. When I pull the front plug wire, it acts the same. Pulling back plug wire - it won't start or run. The manual seems to indicate it may be a problem with the fuel injection system.
A guy who owned it before me said he took it to a dealer, who said it was the "CDI box". He didn't have the money; but i'm not convinced that is it ($1540 for and MPEM).
If I learn anything, I'll try to let you know too.
