Thanks on the new for the oil.

So I got around to messing with the RX today. Cleaned out old gas and got a new battery. Removed the plugs and sprayed a bit of oil down in the cylinders to help crank it as may be dry. Las registration was 2021. I doesn't have any gas in it. So I tried to just turn it over to see if engine spins ok and nothing. Dash says 'low fuel' and a little red light is flashing. Would that inhibit the motor from turning over? Perhaps the fuel pump needs to pressurize the system (i.e. needs fuel in tank) before the computer allows the starter to engage? This pwc is totally new to me as my old ones are a 1995 XP &HX. Gas supposed to be 91 octane too, right?

any help appreciated.

Putting in the 'key', it only beeped once. Learned that that's not right, supposed to have two beeps, I think So I just learned the DESS has a numerically coded computer chip on one end. I didn't try the other one I have, as also have an RX-DI. Perhaps I just put the wrong key in... Think it's best to put in some gas first, then try to start. Folks agree?

You don't need gas for the motor to turn over, especially if both plugs are pulled. Find out why the starter isn't cranking it over.

Learning on new models. Had wrong key plug so only one beep, i learned. I got two rx di models. Switch key plug, got two beeps and starter worked. But no start as injector system must be fowled up. What a mesd
