kinda things that were banned , or maybe just some cool stuff that just went away

A Winchester Model 11 twelve gauge semi-auto shotgun. Although Winchester has produced many outstanding rifles and shotguns in their illustrious history, this is one dud they'd rather soon forget about. Dangerous and awkward to operate for the shooter/hunter. They are strictly wall hangers. The song in the background is "Gwine Dig a Hole to Put the Devil In" by Leadbelly.

i have shot one of these before, see people used to hunt these guns, and when u hunted back in the day, u got real used to your weapons, (i am with my deer rifles ), then instead of calking the hard way, well, u will see in video, the would push down on barrel with butt on the ground, and well, gun malfunction, and, need i say more ...
this gun was real popular though up in the whole appalachian mountain range, watch video and u will see the checkering in the barrel itself (used as a grip) thus far -- the nickname "the widowmaker"

Neat looking old gun, but i couldn't understand a word of what the guy was saying. Hog???

Griz, i think you must have too much time on your hands....you're finding so much $hit on the web. ..... :)

All the other kids in the holler had those, but we was too poor. Ma give me the spring out of her dried up ink pen ta play with.

Griz, when you lived in Uniontown, did you get channel 13 (PBS) station in Pittsburgh? They had a series on there called Things that aren't there anymore. It was pretty cool, things around western Pa that have disappeared since we were kids, like Westview Amusement Park, Trolleys, the steel mills, etc. How long ago did you move to Fla?

Sure never see kids playing with Hula hoops anymore. Are Flowbees still around? How about when you got your first transistor radio when you was a kid, to us that was like the kids today with their ipods!

they had a series down here in florida about kennywood park, we seen a few times, been in florida since 1983, there was a series up in pittsburgh years ago, called "chiller theatre", remember that, cant think of hosts name though ,

Chilly Billy Cardille. He played a role as a new reporter in Night of the Living Dead filmed in Pittsburgh. After Chiller Theater he became a weatherman on Channel 11 in Pittsburgh.

WOW! How many things did K-tel sell? Was that Ron Popiel or his father or someone else? Ronco, Popeil and K-tel I think were the same company, right? Some of those things have come out again and sold again! I know you can still buy the pocket fisherman. I caught a ton of fish with mine. I think I still have it somewhere.

does everyone remember home delivery milk trucks , with glass bottles -- http://charleneclarkstudio.com/galleries/gallery.php4?gal=3&pic=10 believe it or not, but just a couple yrs ago, we went up to pa where we were from, and ferns dairy down the road couple miles i went and got 3 gal milk from big stainless steel tank in milk room, 2.00 gal now, used to be 3 gal for 4.50 and u put money on window sill in cigar box, lol, but they only sell to people they know, no sign, and u have to be there before 10:00 am when the big truck comes, this milk is pasturized, not homoginized -- has the cream on top, after it settles -- pic of storage tanks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulk_tank
was completly sterile environment, gray painted floors, etc -- has anyone got milk straight from farms ????

yea the silver milk box on the front porch. I know a couple guys that used to have dairy cows. they say if you ever saw what would get mixed in with the milk you would never drink milk again. crap, piss, blood.. they won't eat chicken either.

My Detroit house in my young'n days had a milk chute in the kitchen wall going to the outside. We left notes and the payment for the milk in there and the milkman picked it up and left what we wanted.

At the 2011 Detroit Autorama (classic cars and such) There was a completely restored Twin Pines Milk truck....sweet looking.

Remember when children got chemistry sets for christmas, -- I had 1 http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/issues/2007/december/thechemistrysetgeneration.asp
https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=lypBT7XpCvO00AH-_YHOBw

i dont even think i ever see one around anymore...........

I had a chemistry set too. How about those little bottles of alcohol with the wick that you used to heat test tubes with. Not the safest thing in the world to give a 10 year old. I remember one time knocking one of them over and spilling burning alcohol everywhere. I had half the basement on fire and it was real pain cause it's so hard to see the flame. Ma was yellin down the stairs about what's going on with all the smoke. uh, nuthin Ma. Just doin a chemistry speriment

here is another one that I'm pretty sure is gone. The Erector sets which consisted of metal parts to be able to construct all kinds of things with nuts-bolts-wheels and pullies. My dad gave me his set when I was younger but god knows what ever happened to it.

YEAH, I loved mine. built all sorts of contraptions.

How about your old Etch-a-Sketches????

Silly Putty?

SDB, at our ages, I think we all got silly putty and can use one of them erector sets. I'm pretty sure they still sell etch-a-sketches. I would always just fill in the entire screen cause then you could see inside the etch a sketch
