Just pulled the trigger on a 2012 150 Speedster 255HP.

Hello all!!!

I finally decided to make my wife happy and got her a 2012 150 Speedster in Orange with the Supercharged 255HP motor.
Last time I had a Jet Ski was back in 1998 in which we had a 1996 900 Kawasaki. Long time has pass and technology is night and day.



This thing is wicked fast and super fun!!! I Love It!!!

I purchased the same boat this April. I absolutely love it. If you ever have any questions from another owner, please let me know.

Hope you have as much fun with it as I do!

Definately get the Hydro Turf. It makes a huge difference.

I just ordered Hydro Turf on Black Diamond Cut!!!
 
good thing you mentioned it had a ski tower, i would not have noticed it in any of the 9 photos you posted

I ordered the Diamond Cut as well. I was going to order the black as well but opted for the dark gray because I was thinking that the black might get a little hot in the Florida sun. It was pretty easy to install and really made the boat look even better.

I think that if you get the tower, you get the grey. I didn't order a tower but wanted a bimini and the only two colors that were available were red and yellow. I think that was because that was the choices of boat colors in previous years.
 
I have the identical boat, tower and all - eleven hours total so far. My top speed is also 55 mph with two adult sized males, a little less with 3 or 4. I ordered the snow camo hydro turf but it hasn't come in yet. The kid thought snow camo would be cool. We'll see. I've only deployed the bimini top once but it didn't look anywhere near as good as yours - it wasn't taut and kind of looked jury rigged. Glad to see yours so I know that I must have been doing something wrong.

Also ordered the monster tower wake-board rack with universal inserts. It looks and works great with the stock tower.

How much is that tower rack? I need to get one too. Snow camo sound cool. I went with black but thinking about it dark gray would have been neat. Oh well black will have to do! 55mph is plenty fast. I'm not racing anyone, at least for now! LOL

Wow, the tower rack is $230 on eBay. That's expensive for a rack IMO
 
I just picked up a 155hp speedster, orange and with tower. I've never owned a jet ski or jet boat before, I just saw this thing and fell in love with it. I just took it out for the first time yesterday and it is AMAZING.

I have a few questions for you guys:

1-Z-monster - Did you get a bimini cover/sleeve with yours? I did not and am wondering if I should be asking my dealer for it. If not, any tips on how to pack the thing away?

2- I can't get any of the modes to come up other than Eco Mode, I go through all the steps in the menu, eco-mode is all I get. Anyone else have this problem?

3- My dealer does not seem to be concerned about break-in. They said to not keep it at any constant speed for too long, but nothing about avoiding top speed or WOT or anything like that. What was break in like/suggested for you?

By the way, I put the hydro-turf on mine and it really sets the thing off. I didnt think it could look any better, but I was wrong.
 
Should have came with a sleeve for the top.

I think Eco mode is the only option on the 150

Break in is just the time before the first service. Ride it like you stole it!
