Intercooler Vent Hose

Hello everyone, I have a 2010 rxtx 260. The plastic fitting for the IC vent hose broke (I'm going to fix), but I was wondering if there was a diagram showing how the water flows in the IC and everything related (garden hose connection, IBR, etc). This is not the first time it broke as the previous owner had the vent hose blocked off and I was wondering how bad could that be for the ski? I can't find anything specific elsewhere on how it works and what each hose is for. Thanks!

Here's the cooling system from a 2023 GTR 230. I imagine it's very similar to your 2010 260.

Now don't take this for gospel, but it appears the vent hose at the top of the intercooler is there (at the high point) to allow air to escape from the intercooler (making sure the intercooler is flooded); water works better than air. The flow of water out from the back of the ski is a telltale to let the operator know there is water flowing through the intercooler. I don't believe blocking the vent is a good idea.
