The ski will gas hydraulic locks itself. We dove into carbs thinking the needle was stuck out of the seat, or something else was messed up, but the carbs looked normal. Put them back, and it's still pouring gas into cylinders. It's like the engine is creating way too much vaccum and its just sucking as much gas possible. Another thing it was doing when it was working, (after it was hot)was to get it to start. and more recently working, it would be hard to idle right. Thanks for the help. Hopefully it can be fixed by the time I leave lake gaston.

Shea...did yuo look at the "tang" position, on n/s. If higherthan the carb body, than when carb plate installed with diaphram, the red nipple, will push the tang down, thus lifting the needle.

Can you rephrase that? when we took the diaphragm off, the needle is in the seat. and the engine doesn't fill up with gas without cranking.

the round diaphram/bumper look'n thing, with the red nipple in center of it, that pushes the tang, which lifts/lowers the needle. If that tang is high enuf, then when you assemble carb again, it'll push on it, lifting the needle out. Unless you got the pulse line going to the fuel pump, cant think anywhere else it'll fill up at.

Yeah, the tang i think is in the normal place (unless your supposed to bend the one that SBT gives you in the rebuild kit, but it did work for a month great, except for fouling the front spark plug and hard starting hot. The only thing else i can think is the rings in the cylinder, but before i left for the lake it was getting about 150 pounds each cylinder.

When it does hydraulic lock, (before we get the gas out), it squirts gas out of the cylinder like a squirtgun.

EDIT : Could the coil in the electric box be going bad, or should i do the 1/4" to the plugs?

Someting wong, stud...you got fuel, filling up motor. Which, it ran great for a month, and now, this problem...sure its fuel, and not oil?, whats level at on resivoir?

lets break it down.......fuel tank to external fuel pump (if has one), then to inline filter, then to carb/s, then motor. If pulse line aint to filter, then its in the carb...? stick'n needle?

I thought the 787 worked on vaccuming the gas? where would the pump be? and when i bought the kit from SBT, was i supposed to bend the tang at all before i put it in?

Alright, my friend called someone that knows a lot about seadoos. the guy thinks it could be the spring under the "tang" . Where can i get the correct spring?

You are suppose to bend the the lever so that it is level with the bottom of the carb body. Instructions on how to do that is in the manual with a diagram. It is also in the carb rebuild post with diagram (sticky in the how-to section I think). Make sure you follow instructions so that you do not press down on the n/s and damage it.
